You can deploy project assets after the appropriate task in the project is complete—often, after content reviewers sign off on a project. All project assets are deployed at the same time.
The actual deployment process is configurable. The installed workflow provides two deployment choices:
Approve and Deploy begins the deployment of project assets to the target site.
Approve for Deployment approves the project for deployment, which is started by the RecurringDeploymentService or an administrator.
You can also configure a one-off deployment target, where assets can be deployed from a project at any workflow stage.
System administrators configure and monitor deployment through the Admin Console pages, which is accessible to users with the appropriate access rights. For more information about deployment options and tools, see Deploying Project Assets in the Content Administration Programming Guide.
