The administration tasks in this section can be performed while the CAS Service is running. The tasks are generally more focused and specific than the tasks you can perform while the CAS Service is offline. And there are some elements of CAS that you cannot back up online, for example, you cannot back up crawl histories while the CAS Service is running.
