server.

Review the server features and familiarize yourself with the
server components.

Review the server specifications and the site requirements.
|
|
|
4.

Confirm that you received all the items you ordered.
|

|
5.
|
Review safety and ESD precautions.
|
|
|
6.
|
Gather the required tools.
|
|
|
7.
|
Install any optional components that you ordered.
|
|
|
8.
|
Review the rack cautions.
|
|
|
9.
|
Install the server in a 4-post or 2-post rack.
|
|
|
10.
|
Review cabling requirements and port information. Attach data and
management cables to the server.
|

|
11.
|
Prepare the power cords, apply power, and start the server for the
first time.
