In account-based storefronts, accounts are created manually by merchant administrators in Commerce Cloud. Therefore, storefronts that support account-based shoppers must be careful not to allow this type of shopper to self-register. To accommodate this use case, the example in the Example for restricting guest checkout section would need to be modified to restrict account-based shoppers to logging in only. For storefronts that support both individual, registered shoppers and account-based shoppers, your UI will have to make it clear that the self-registration process creates a personal account only, not a business account.
