An overview of Actions
The Actions feature enables you to configure a set of rules — that is, behaviors and filters — that the Infinity platform will listen for in real-time. When these rules are identified in the moment, Infinity can then deliver behavioral data to your designated action system, such as Oracle Responsys, Oracle Eloqua, Oracle Maxymiser, and Oracle Unity. Oracle Infinity’s behavioral data can be used for example, to personalize content in your marketing campaigns, personalize content on your web pages while the customer is still in-session, or make recommendations for relevant products or content. Additionally, Oracle Unity profile data can be combined with Oracle Infinity’s behavioral data and delivered to Oracle Responsys, Oracle Unity, or Webhook connections for more detailed personalization.
Actions are configured in four steps:
- You’ll provide a name and description for your action so that it is easily recognized. Learn more about the Basic Details step.
- You’ll define the behaviors and filters that make up the rules you want to listen for in real-time. Learn more about the Rules step.
- Optionally, you can select an Oracle Unity source to send profile data to a destination after an action's rules have been met. The additional profile data can be used for personalizing content shown to customers by the destination action system. Learn more about the Sources step for Oracle Unity as a source.
- You’ll select the specific data you want to send and to which action system you want to send it. Learn more about the Destinations step for the following:
