To index content in languages other than English, or to add dictionary adaptors for English:
Do one of the following:
On the Projects tab, go to Projects and click on Your Project Name. In the Content for Indexing section of the project page, click the Manage Content link.
On the Projects tab, go to Your Project Name > Content.
In the Language Customizations section, select Core Language Support from the Add Item drop-down.
Check the language(s) you want to enable indexing for. Oracle ATG Web Commerce Search supports the following languages:
Catalan
Chinese (traditional and simple)
Dutch
English
English (UK)
French
French (Canada)
German
Hungarian
Italian
Japanese
Korean
Polish
Portuguese
Portuguese (Brazil)
Russian
Spanish
Swedish
Each selected language (including English, which is selected by default) has a Dictionary Adaptors link. Dictionary adaptors contain industry-specific terms that are not part of the main Search dictionary. Click the link to select dictionary adaptors that should be included for the language. Different adaptors are available for different languages; the example that follows is for German.
Check any adaptors you want to include, and click Select.
In the main window, click Save.
Note: If you have no English-language content in your project, you must create a custom Text Processing Option Set that indicates the languages you are using and associate it with your project. The default Text Processing Option Set assumes English as the content language.
