Content can be automatically associated with topics while the content is being indexed. To do this, you create rules, which contain patterns. When the content is indexed, Oracle ATG Web Commerce Search looks for those patterns in the content and computes a score, using the weights associated with the matching patterns. Search determines whether a content item should be associated with a topic based on that score.
