Managing Oracle Solaris 11 Boot Environments

When the Oracle Solaris OS is first installed on a system, a boot environment is created. You can use the beadm(1M) utility to create and administer additional boot environments on your system.

After your system is installed, create a backup of the original boot environment. If needed, you can then boot to the backup of the original boot environment. These topics describe how to create and manage boot environments on the system.
