Heat Dissipation
and Airflow Requirements
The following table lists the maximum rate of heat released
from a system. In order to cool the system properly, ensure that
adequate airflow travels through the system.

The direction of
airflow is front to back
for the main and expansion racks.
| Caution - Do not restrict the movement of
cool air from the air conditioner to the cabinet, or the movement
of hot air out of the rear of the cabinet. |
Observe these additional requirements:
Allow a minimum clearance
of 914 mm (36 inches) at the front of the rack, and 914 mm (36 inches)
at the rear of the rack for ventilation. There is no airflow requirement
for the left and right sides, or the top of the rack.
If the rack is not completely filled with components,
cover the empty sections with filler panels.
