This scenario simply fills the “ProductSlot” slots of each locale with featured products using a targeter. These products are displayed on the homepage.
The contents of the targeter are shown in the slot both when anonymous users visit the home page and at login time. The reason for this is that the targeter may turn up some new items depending upon which user logs in, but also has a pool of products to show to everybody.
