ATG offer management leverages existing ATG technologies to provide the aforementioned personalized dynamic content. Slots, scenarios, and renderers are used in combination with user profiles and tools in Service Administration to create, manage, present and deliver the content to the right person at the right time.
At a very high level, you perform the following tasks to get offer management working. Depending on your business process, these tasks can be done in parallel or in the following order.
configure offer management panels
create content (such as images, marketing text, product promotions)
register the content in an ATG repository
create user profiles
create profile groups
define slots, scenarios, and targeters to determine to whom and when to deliver this content
create renderers to define the presentation or layout of the content
match slots to renderers and decide which content to display in the ATG Service Center
