Setting Up the NFS Service

This section describes some of the tasks that are necessary to set up the NFS service.

Note -  NFS Version 4 is the default version of NFS supported in Oracle Solaris 11.2.

Start and stop the NFS server
Starts the NFS service if it has not been started automatically. Stops the NFS service. Normally, the service does not need to be stopped.
Start and stop the automounter
Starts and stops the automounter. This procedure is required when some of the automounter maps are changed.
Select different versions of NFS
Selects a NFS version other than NFS Version 4 on the server and clients.
