You can stop or restart evaluation of a Site from the Sites screen. When a page loads, the URL, the page title and the visitor’s IP address are compared against the Site Conditions defined in the Site definition to determine which Site’s Rules should be loaded with the page. Stopping the evaluation of a Site means that the Site is excluded from this determination.

You can continue to administer the Site and can still perform actions such as modify the Site evaluation order, modify the Site definition, associate a Rule with the Site, modify the Rule Evaluation Order for the Site, delete the Site, or publish the Site.

You can stop Site evaluation by going to the Sites screen, clicking on the action cog for the relevant Site and selecting Stop Site Evaluation from the command list.

You can identify Sites where evaluation has been stopped by the evaluation stopped icon displayed beside the Site name on the Sites screen.

You can restart Site evaluation by clicking on the action cog for any Site where evaluation has been stopped and selecting Restart Site Evaluation from the command list.

If you stop Site evaluation for a Site, that Site is displayed in the Failed Sites section of the Site Evaluation window in the Inspector tool.

Note: Stopping or restarting Site evaluation requires an auto-publish of the Site. This ends any A/B tests that are currently active.
