This Action takes the value from a specified JavaScript variable and uses it to populate a specified custom data field. The value is stored in the custom data field as a string value.
The following configuration options are available for this Action:
Custom Data Field: This is used to specify which custom data field should be populated with the value taken from the JavaScript variable.
RightNow Custom Data Field: If you are a RightNow customer, this field is used to specify which of the RightNow Custom Data fields should be populated with the value taken from the JavaScript variable. If you select CustomField from the dropdown list a further configuration option is displayed:
RightNow Custom Data Field ID: This is used to specify the ID for the custom data field that should be populated with the value taken from the JavaScript variable.
JavaScript Variable: This is used to identify the JavaScript variable from which to take the value. If you name a JavaScript function here, the custom data field is populated with the return value of the JavaScript function. This return value must be explicitly assigned in the JavaScript function as the JavaScript function returns “undefined” if no return value is specified.
Note: If the specified JavaScript variable cannot be found, no value is assigned to the custom data field.
