Global configuration settings are configured in the GLOBAL.properties (located in config/config.jar) file. The settings in this file control logging and log listeners and apply to all components in the config tree except those that set these properties explicitly themselves. If you want to edit this file, you must do so manually (see the Changing Component Properties Manually section later in this chapter).
