To start or stop a search environment is to start or stop the search engines on all hosts that are part of that environment. If some engines in an environment are running and others are not, stopping the environment stops all running engines, and starting the environment starts all currently stopped engines.
To start or stop a search environment:
On the Projects tab, go to Projects > Your Project > Environments.
Click the Start or Stop link for the environment.
In the Component Browser of the Dynamo Server Admin, you can use the /atg/search/routing/RoutingSystemService page to stop and start individual engines. You can use the /atg/search/routing/SearchEngineService page to stop and start engines by environment (all engines on a specific machine belonging to a specific environment) or by machine (all engines on a machine, from any environment).
