When installing Oracle Solaris, the installation might fail when a disk needs to be relabeled from EFI (GPT) to VTOC (SMI).
The following error message is displayed:

Workaround: Restart the installation process. To avoid the issue before beginning the installation process, relabel the disk to VTOC (SMI) manually by using the format command.
# format -L vtoc -d c2t1d0
Searching for disks...done selecting c2t1d0 [disk formatted] c2t1d0 is labeled with VTOC successfully.
