A storage repository is used to store virtual machine resources, so that these resources can be made available to Oracle VM Servers in a server pool, without having to copy the resources to each Oracle VM Server. The types of underlying storage that can be used for a repository are discussed in more detail in Section 3.9, “Where are Virtual Machine Resources Located?”.
