Providing Host Credentials to the Service Processor

Accessing the service processor using the Host-to-ILOM Interconnect requires that you either provide credentials manually or set up a host credentials cache using ilomconfig:

  • For information on setting credentials using ilomconfig, see Set Up a Credential Cache on the Host.

  • To provide credentials manually, provide the Oracle ILOM login credentials when running a command over a network. For example:

    #fwupdate update sp_bios -x metadata.xml --remote-username=root --remote-hostname=169.254.182.76

    #ubiosconfig list status -U root -H 169.254.182.76
