How To Correct Normal Contract Debt

If a customer is unhappy with the balance on a "normal" contract and you cannot fix the source of their unhappiness (i.e., the bills and payments), create an adjustment. Simply select an adjustment type that describes why you are adjusting the balance and enter the amount of the adjustment (a negative number if you are crediting the customer).

Note: What's normal? There really is no such thing as a "normal" contract. We use this term to reference contracts used to bill for services like financial service, land leases, home warranties, security monitoring, etc. where the current amount is the same as the payoff amount.
CAUTION: A contract that is part of a budget plan is NOT normal. Refer to How To Adjust A Contract On A Budget for more information.
