Creating a Payment Agreement Request

Prerequisites

To create a payment agreement request, you should have:

  • Payment agreement request types defined in the application.

Procedure

To create a payment agreement request:

  1. Click the Menu link in the Application toolbar.
    A list appears.
  2. From the Main menu, select Delinquency Management and then click Payment Agreement Request.
    A sub-menu appears.
  3. Click the Add option from the Payment Agreement Request sub-menu.

    The Add Payment Agreement Request screen appears. It contains the following fields:

    Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Payment Agreement Request Type Used to indicate the payment agreement request type using which you want to create the payment agreement request. Yes
    Entity Type Used to indicate the entity type for payment agreement request. The valid values are:
    • Account

    • Person

    Note:

    The list includes only those values which are defined in the PA_​ENTITY_​TYPE_​FLG lookup field.

    By default, the Account option is selected.

    Entity ID Used to indicate the account for which you want to create the payment agreement request.
    Note:

    The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Entity ID field. On clicking the Search icon, the Account Search window appears.

    On specifying the account, the description of the account appears corresponding to the Account field.

    Linked to Delinquency Process Used to indicate whether the payment agreement request should be linked with the delinquency process. No
    Delinquency Process ID Used to indicate the delinquency process which should be linked with the payment agreement request.
    Note:

    This field appears only when the Linked to Delinquency Process option is selected.

    The Search (The Search Icon) icon appears corresponding to the Delinquency Process ID field. On clicking the Search icon, the Delinquency Process Search window appears.

    On specifying the delinquency process ID, the description of the delinquency process ID appears corresponding to the Delinquency Process ID field.

    Yes (Conditional)
    Note: This field is required when the Linked to Delinquency Process option is selected.
    Tip: Alternatively, you can access the Add Payment Agreement Request screen by clicking the Add button in the Page Title area of the Payment Agreement Request screen.
  4. Enter the required fields.
  5. Click OK.
    The payment agreement request is created and the status of the payment agreement request is set to Draft. The Payment Agreement Request screen appears with the details of the payment agreement request.
    Note:

    You cannot create a payment agreement request for a delinquency process when the same delinquency process is associated with another payment agreement request.

    You can associate a delinquency process with a payment agreement request only when the delinquency process is not in any of the following statuses:

    • Canceled

    • Terminated

    • Completed
