There are two methods for performing user sampling in the Scenarios module: short term sampling and long term sampling. The first method involves dividing visitors into groups for the duration of a single test only. With the second method, long term sampling, you divide visitors into groups by first marking their profiles, and you then use those groups to perform various tests over the course of a long period.
