In a multisite environment, your administrator associated specific catalog assets (catalogs, catalog folders, categories, products, and SKUs) with specific registered sites. The Sites property on an asset’s General tab in the Details pane shows you which registered sites this asset belongs to.

You cannot directly edit the Sites property for a catalog asset, but you can associate assets with different registered sites by linking or moving them. See Linking and Unlinking Assets and Moving Assets.

Promotions, articles, and media content assets also have Sites properties. Your administrator does not have to associate these assets with specific registered sites. By default, promotions, articles, and media content assets are available to all sites. You can directly edit the Sites property for these assets.
