Reboot the Modular System Components (Web Interface)

  1. Open a web browser on a management node that can access the MGT network.
  2. Type the IP address or host name of the SP.

This can be either a management network IP address or an untagged IP address configured for the MGT network.

For more information, refer to the product-specific documentation.

The Oracle ILOM web interface login page is displayed.

  3. Type your user name and password and click Log In.

Note -  You are provided a default Administrator account and password to enable first-time login and access to Oracle ILOM. To build a secure environment, you must change the default password of changeme to the default Administrator account password, root, after your initial login to Oracle ILOM. If this default Administrator account has since been changed, contact your system administrator for an Oracle ILOM user account with Administrator privileges.

For instructions, refer to Accessing Oracle ILOM in Oracle X5 Series Servers Administration Guide.

  4. In the navigation pane, click Host Management → Power Control.
  5. Choose Action → Graceful Reset, then click Save and OK.

The modular system reboots. If all of the compute node LEDs do not turn solid green, see Installation Troubleshooting.

For more information on controlling the power state, refer to Controlling Host Power to Server or Blade System Chassis in Oracle ILOM Administrator’s Guide for Configuration and Maintenance Firmware Release 3.2.x.

  6. Verify through the web interface that the system is powered on.
