Oracle Server X5-2M Features

These are the hardware and software components for the Oracle Server X5-2M used as a compute node.

Node Feature Description Processors Each node has two processors from the Intel Xeon E5-2600 v3 product family. Memory 24 DIMM slots. Disk bays Each node has eight 2.5-inch front hot-swappable disk bays. RAID HBA A 12-Gbyte/sec RAID HBA and JBOD with 1 Gbyte of DDR3 onboard memory with flash memory backup are supported through an embedded SAS3 HBA PCIe card. FBA FBA I/O: 2x 10BASE-T (Fabric 1), Optional 4x 10BASE-SR (Fabric 2 and 3), 1x 10BASE-T (Fabric 4) Ethernet Oracle Quad 10Gb Ethernet Adapter (optional) Preinstalled OS Oracle VM Server with Oracle Linux OS is preinstalled and preconfigured. Supported OSs For a list of other supported OSs, see Supported Software and Firmware. Supported software The following virtualization software is supported: Oracle VM VMware KVM Hyper-V Other supported software Oracle OpenStack for Oracle Linux Storage Local storage is provided within the compute node. Up to five SSDs are supported.
