Nodes used in the modular system for computation not for management. See also management nodes.
Fabric 4 is a pass-through network that bypasses the switching network inside the modular system.
See FBS PCB.
Frame backplane segment. Attaches to the modular system frame and provides the connector to the node FBAs.
FBS printed circuit board (previously FBN). See also FBS.
Frame monitoring module. Provides the backplane features for nodes, networking, and storage devices in the system. The FMM manages the frame backplane nodes and provides a management switch for the management components installed in the system.
See Oracle ILOM.
The two management nodes that run the system management software and OS. These two nodes are located in slots 3 and 4 of Frame 0.
Network management port. An Ethernet port on the server SP, the server module SP, and the CMM.
Oracle Integrated Lights Out Manager. Preinstalled firmware that enables you to remotely manage the Oracle servers regardless of the state of the host system.
Registered DIMM modules have a register between the DRAM modules and the system's memory controller.
