Currently, both the Oracle Server X5-2M and Oracle Server X6-2M are supported in the Netra Modular System as management nodes.
The two bottom slots are prewired and configured as the management node slots. Plug any compute node into this slot, and because it is prewired and configured for the management node operation, the compute node behaves like the management node. No additional cables are needed. A management node can also perform compute node functions and run applications. The only difference in the preinstalled software for a management node and compute node is the enabled FSA (management feature).
