It is necessary that you test your wireless application extensively throughout your development process. Early in development you should draw up a comprehensive test plan and ensure you acquire the necessary resources to execute it. Such a plan should identify many of the devices and toolkits that you intend to support during development and deployment.

Do not assume that a software emulator faithfully and accurately represents the behavior of a hardware device—test them both. Watch out for unusual bugs, such as a device crash caused by typing in a bare host URL that is not terminated with a trailing stroke ‘/’.

You should test the usability of the site and any reconfiguration instructions with real target users. You should also provide a number of actively monitored channels for your users to report problems they might encounter with the WML site.
