A campaign is made up of various editable objects that must be available on the production server for the campaign to work correctly. Assets can either be deployed together when the campaign is started. For example, a campaign that sends an e-mail to a group of customers must contain a file that holds the text for the message, and the file must be deployed with the campaign for it to work correctly. The objects that make up a campaign are referred to as “assets.” Examples of campaign assets are segments, landing pages, slots, and image files.

When you create campaigns, you add new or existing assets to them using the asset picker interface provided by the ATG Business Control Center. For detailed information, see the Creating and Managing Assets chapter in the ATG Content Administration Guide for Business Users.
