Initialize the Database

You populate the database with ATG Content Administration and ATG Business Control Center data by running import scripts in the following order:

  1. <ATG2007.3dir>/Publishing/base/install/importPublishing.{sh|bat}
    Imports the roles, users, item descriptors, and items (views, actions, and so on) for ATG Content Administration.

    Note: Several ContentRootPathProvider and FileExtensionTypeMapper errors might appear while the script is running; you can safely ignore these errors, as they have no effect on the import process.

  2. <ATG2007.3dir>/BIZUI/install/importBizui.{sh|bat}
    Imports default data for the ATG Business Control Center framework.

  3. <ATG2007.3dir>/AssetUI/install/importAssetUI.{sh|bat}
    Imports view mapping data used by the AssetUI module.

  4. <ATG2007.3dir>/DPSUI/install/importDPSUI.{sh|bat}
    Imports Personalization data for the ATG Business Control Center.

    If you also want to import the items for the WebAppRef reference implementation, which illustrates a proper configuration for a Web site that manages JSP file assets, run importPublishingwebapprefver.{sh|bat}. This script is located in <ATG2007.3dir>/Publishing/WebAppRefVer/install/, and it imports the items for base ATG Content Administration as well.

Note: Before you run these scripts, you must configure a FakeXADataSource_production.properties file that points to your production database, to accompany the FakeXADataSource.properties file that already exists.
