The program description
deals with the following:
The data of the internal
MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application program of type ECR
status is updated, i.e. created, changed or deleted, with this program.
Data which has already been stored can be displayed.
The MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application
allows the user to permanently display the ECR status of all terminals in an
installation in a dedicated window. In addition to the status of the ECR
online/offline, the operator status and the turnover recorded for this terminal
and the status of the server and backup server can also be displayed.
Note!
The operator
status is only displayed if the ECR is working in self-service mode.
The following status data is displayed:

Number and status of ECR
The status of the ECR is shown in field ECR status ("Online",
"Offline" and "Load database" if the client database is
loaded).
·
Operator name and operator status
The current status of the operator (signed off, signed on or break if the
operator has signed off for a break with key <BREAK>) is displayed in
field Operator status.
·
Transfer out limit
The amount for the transfer out limit is shown in this field. This information
is stored in program Terminal type in field Transfer out limit.
·
Turnover cash
The turnover values for the payment types in cash are displayed in this field
for the signed on operator of the current accounting period.
·
Turnover non-cash
Turnover values for payment types Non-Cash (e.g. cheque) are displayed in this
field for the signed on operator of the current accounting period.
·
Total turnover per operator
The totals for the payment types Cash and Non-Cash are displayed in this field
for the signed on operator of the current accounting period.
·
Total turnover
This field shows the total for the payment types Cash and Non-Cash for all signed
on operators.
·
Status of the server
This field shows the current status of the server, e.g. "Online as
Master", etc.
·
Status of backup server
This field shows the current status of the backup server, e.g. "Online as
Backup", etc.

setting up the program Terminal status is as follows:

Select program type ECR status by clicking on
the field and with a second click confirming the option required.
The following is
available:
Entry range permitted:
numeric 1 - 9999
This field requires entry
of the number of the application for which the data is to be updated. The next
free program no. can be ascertained by clicking on "Next free
number". An
information window then displays the next free number which can be used.
If a new number is to be
programmed, a free no. should be entered in the Key
fields ein.
Changes or deletions are
made after calling up the data record with entry of the no. in the key fields.
If the number is not known, the data record can be selected with Search.
Entry range permitted:
alphanumeric max. 20 pos.
The internal name of the
application, e.g. "ECR status" should be entered in this field. This
name must be spelt in exactly the same way as in the linked processing unit in
field Program name.

updated.
Alternatively, a manual
update can be carried out with button "Update".

Note:
Only select a value
higher than "0" for the debug level if a protocol is required for the
ECR status for error analysis. The information appears in file
"errlog" in directory work
of the appropriate system unit.
