The program description
deals with the following:
With this program you can
update the data of internal MICROS Retail OSCAR POS application programs of the Kitchen Touch
Server type, i.e. create a new data record, modify or delete existing data.
Stored data can also be displayed for information purposes.
Depending on the program
type, the individual programs are generally assigned to corresponding groups.
The input mask for the programs of the corresponding group can vary because
various data have to be updated for the program call-up, depending on the Program Type.
This paragraph will provide
a short overview over the options available for updating these basic
data
Just like in almost any
other program:
Field with defined
selection options
Select one of the program
types provided: Click in the field and select the type of your choice with
another mouseclick.
The following program types are available:
Entry range permitted:
numeric, 1 - 9999
Enter the number of the
application for which data is to be updated.
If a new application is to
be programmed enter a free no. in the key fields.
Modifications or deletions
can be carried out by calling up the data record with the appropriate no. entry
in the key fields. The data record can also be selected with the search
function.
Entry range permitted:
alphanumeric, max. 20 pos.
The internal name of the
application is entered in this field.
The following POS
applications are currently integrated in the MICROS Retail OSCAR POS program:

The internal name of the
FSM file is entered in this field. FSM stands for Finite State Machine . The
functionality is defined in these files.
Entry range permitted:
alphanumeric, max. 20 pos.
The internal name of the
4GL file is entered in this field. 4GL is an interpreter language with which
report programs are written. The commands of a 4GL file are interpreted during
program run. Users who are acquainted with the 4GL language can adapt reports
to suit their own requirements.

Enter the number of the
application group to which this application is to be assigned.
If you do not know the
number, you can select the data record via the search
function.
Access by operators to
application areas (sales, stocks, organisation etc.) can be restricted. This is
done by defining specific access authorisations for programs of an application
group in a group profile.
This defines which activities in which sectors can be handled by which
operator.

Enter the number of the
frame of this application in this field. The frame no. refers to a form which
defines the layout of the program window as it appears on the screen.

This field displays the
intern name of the application.
