SLPSetProperty(3SLP)

Name

SLPSetProperty - set an SLP configuration property

Synopsis

cc [ flag... ] file... –lslp [ library... ]
#include <slp.h>

void SLPSetProperty(const char *pcName, const char *pcValue);

Description

The SLPSetProperty() function sets the value of the SLP property to the new value. The pcValue parameter contains the property value as a string.

Parameters

pcName

A null-terminated string with the property name. pcName cannot be NULL.

pcValue

A null-terminated string with the property value. pcValue cannot be NULL

Errors

This function or its callback may return any SLP error code. See the ERRORS section in slp_api(3SLP).

Examples

Example 1 Setting a Configuration Property

The following example shows to set the property net.slp.typeHint to service:ftp:

SLPSetProperty ("net.slp.typeHint" "service:ftp");

Environment Variables

SLP_CONF_FILE

When set, use this file for configuration.
