Configuring Links in the Management Toolbox Panel

The Management Toolbox helper panel allows ATG Knowledge users with access rights to open the ATG Search Management Console and/or ATG Service Administration directly from the ATG Knowledge user interface.

To configure what appears in the Management toolbox:

  1. Open the ACC and locate and open the /atg/svc/agent/ui/
    ManagementToolboxConfiguration     component.

    (If the component is already started, stop it before making changes.)

    Note: If you have entered Site, Service Admin or Search Admin URL information using the Service Admin > Service Admin Configuration > Service Center > Global Workspace Settings > General Settings Panel, those settings will take precedence over any values that you configure in ManagementToolboxConfiguration.properties. To ensure that ManagementToolboxConfiguration.properties file values are used in the Management Toolbox, ensure that the Site URL, Service Admin URL and Search Admin URL fields in Service Admin > Service Admin Configuration > Service Center > Global Workspace Settings > General Settings Panel are blank.

  2. Set the agentAdminURL property to the URL for your ATG Service Administration. For example:

    http://hostname:port/admin

  3. Set the SearchManagementConsoleURL property to the URL for your ATG Search Management Console. For example:

    http://hostname:port/adminui

  4. Save your changes and restart the component.
