Getting Set Up

Unless you plan to use the sample ATG Knowledge application as-is, without any re-branding or incorporation into your existing Web application, you will want to modify the ATG Knowledge pages, and perhaps the entire application itself. Here are the steps that you will need to get started to access the application.

  1. Use WinZip or the jar xvf command to expand the <ATG9dir>/Service9.3/
    Service/Agent/j2ee-apps/ATG Knowledgebase-userexperience.ear     into a folder titled <ATG9dir>/Service9.3/Service/Agent/j2ee-apps/
    Agent-ear.

  2. Edit the <web-uri> property of the <ATG9dir>/Service9.3/
    Service/Agent/j2ee-apps/Agent-ear/META-INF/ application.xml     file as follows:

    <web-uri>
        _Agent
    </web-uri>

  3. Edit the <ATG9dir>/Service9.3/Service/Agent/config/atg/dynamo/
    agent/j2ee/J2EEContainer.properties     properties file as follows:

    applications+={atg.dynamo.root}/Service9.3/Service/Agent
    /j2ee-apps/Agent-ear

  4. In the <ATG9dir>/Service9.3/Service/Agent/j2ee-apps/
    Agent-ear/META-INF/DYNAMO-INF     directory change all of the files to include:

    <module-uri>_Agent</module-uri>

Note: You must repackage the application as an .ear file when you deploy it.
