Before you run the migration program, you must do the following steps, discussed in detail in this section:
Make sure you have installed the ATG platform, ATG Knowledge, ATG Search, and (optionally) ATG Self Service.
Configure a new ATG data source that connects to your existing eServer database. See Configuring a Data Source that Points to the eServer Database.
Use the ATG migration configuration files to set up mappings for your eServer solutions, users, groups, and topics. See the following sections:
To minimize downtime, you should perform eServer migration offline while having the production eServer instance live.
