You can work with the following properties in the Details pane. The properties described in this section are the properties that come with Merchandising by default. Your administrator might have added new properties that are specific to your Web sites.
General Tab
Property | Description |

Name | Name used for the asset in Merchandising. This property is required. The name does not have to be unique, as Merchandising assigns a unique ID to each asset you create. |
Title | Title for the asset that will appear on your Web site. |
URL | URL that points to the file in the mediaContent repository. |
Media type | Automatically set to one of the following values, based on the filename extension in the URL: Video, Image, PDF, Audio, Other. This property is read-only. |
Thumbnail image | Thumbnail image to display when rendering the asset on a page, such as in a spotlight. This image is also used as the thumbnail image for the asset in Merchandising. |
Tags | List of tags associated with the asset. See Creating and Managing Tags for more information. |
Description | Description of asset that will appear on your Web site. |
Sites | In a multisite environment, the names of the sites to which the asset belongs. See Assets in a Multisite Environment for more information. |
Parent Folder | Folder that contains this asset. |
Created by | User name of the Merchandising user who created this asset. This property is read-only. |
Created on | Timestamp of when this asset was created. This property is read-only. |
Modified by | User name of the Merchandising user who last updated this asset. This property is read-only. |
