Use the On element to define an exact time when you want a scenario action to occur. This element is an effective way to start a scenario. You can also use it as a filter element in the middle of a scenario, for example at the beginning of a branch in a Fork element. (See Using Fork Elements in Scenarios)

On elements can have the following variations:

  • On date: at a specific date and time, for example on Monday, November 13th at 8:00 am. You could use this element at the beginning of a scenario to specify the day and time you want the scenario to take effect. You could also use it to define a specific date and time for an action – for example, you could use it to send a targeted e-mail at a specific time.

  • On weekday: on a specific day of the week, for example on Tuesday. In this example, the system applies the element on the first Tuesday after you enable it, and then repeats it every Tuesday after that.

  • On weekday in month: on a numbered weekday of a given month, for example on the second Tuesday in November. If you keep the scenario enabled, the system repeats the element every year.

  • On monthday: on a numbered day of the current month, for example on day 27 of the month. The system applies this element on the next occurrence of the specified day after you enable the scenario. It repeats the element every month on that day.

To select one of these variations, click the small diamond after the word On in the element and select the option you want from the list that appears.

See Repeating an Element for more information on how to change the default repeat behavior for these and other elements.
