NFS The Network File System (NFS) is a distributed file system that allows a client computer to access files over a network as though the files were on local storage. See Section 21.2, “About NFS”.

Samba Samba enables the provision of file and print services for Microsoft Windows clients and can integrate with a Windows workgroup, NT4 domain, or Active Directory domain. See Section 21.3, “About Samba”.
