Required Equipment

For this procedure you will need:

• #2 Phillips (cross-head) screwdriver

• Marker or tape

• Ruler or measuring tape.

• Screws for Fabric Interconnect bracket mounting. The screws come in a large bag. The large bag contains fourteen (14) M3.5 x .6 x 6 mm Phillips countersink screws for attaching the rack-depth measures and optional cable management brackets.

• Screws for Fabric Interconnect rack install. The screws come in a large bag that contains 3 smaller bags for different types of common equipment racks:

  • Eight (8) 10-32 x .75” Phillips pan-head screws

  • Eight (8) 12-24 x .75” Phillips pan-head screws

  • Eight (8) #12 lock washers

  • Sixteen (16) M6 x 20 mm Phillips pan-head screws

  • Sixteen (16) M6 cage nuts, EIA rack, M6/BL2, 5/9x9

  Note - You do not need all 3 bags of screws. The different bags of screws are supplied to allow successful installation in a wide variety of common equipment racks. You will use only the bag of screws that is appropriate for type of rack in which you are installing the Fabric Interconnect.
