To search for a customer:
Select the Customers tab.
In the Customer Search panel, enter the search criteria, such as a first or last name, a phone number or a log in name.
Click Search.
The system returns a list of customers with names that match the full or partial name you provided. Use the arrows to move through the pages of the search results. You can click on any of the column headings to sort the results.
To make the customer active, click the Select link. Subsequent actions you perform (such as creating an order) will use this customer’s profile.
The customer name will appear in the global context area of the page header, and a message will appear in the Messaging area, indicating that the customer is the active customer.
You can also search for customers when working in the Shopping Cart page by clicking the Select Customer link. This will display a Customer Search panel that you can use to associate a customer with an order.
