Charge Type

The Charge Type zone displays the details of the charge type. It contains the following sections:

• Main - Displays basic information about the charge type. It contains the following fields:

  Column Name	Column Description
  Charge Type	Displays the charge type
  Description	Displays the description of the charge type.
  Charge Type Category	Indicates the category to which the charge type belongs. The valid values are: Additional Taxes Commission Down Payment Fees Premium- Endorsement Premium- Business Tax
  Charge Type Sub Category	Indicates the subcategory to which the charge type belongs.

• Characteristics - Lists the characteristics defined for the charge type. It contains the following columns:

  Column Name	Column Description
  Effective Date	Indicates the date from when the characteristic is effective for the charge type.
  Characteristic Type	Indicates the characteristic type.
  Characteristic Value	Displays the value of the characteristic type.

• Record Actions - This section contains the following buttons:

  Button Name	Button Description
  Edit	Used to edit the details of the charge type.
  Delete	Used to delete the charge type. Note: You can delete a charge type which is not yet linked to any contract type.
  Duplicate	Used to create a new charge type using an existing charge type.

• Record Information - This section contains the following field:

  Field Name	Field Description
  Business Object	Indicates the business object using which the charge type is created. In addition, a context menu appears corresponding to this field which helps in navigating to other screens in the application. Note: It has a link. On clicking the link, the Business Object screen appears where you can view the details of the respective business object.

By default, the Charge Type zone does not appear in the Charge Type screen. It appears when you click the Broadcast () icon corresponding to a charge type in the Charge Type List zone.
