Editing a Charge Type

Procedure

To edit a charge type:

  1. Click the Admin link in the Application toolbar.
    A list appears.
  2. From the Admin menu, select C and then click Charge Type.
    The Charge Type screen appears.
  3. In the Charge Types zone, click the Edit (The Edit Icon) icon in the Edit column corresponding to the charge type whose details you want to edit.

    The Charge Type screen appears. It contains the following fields:

    Field Name Field Description Mandatory (Yes or No)
    Charge Type Displays the charge type. Not applicable
    Description Used to specify the description for the charge type. Yes
    Charge Type Category Indicates the category to which the charge type belongs. The valid values are:
    • Additional taxes

    • Commission

    • Down Payment

    • Fees

    • Premium- Endorsement

    • Premium- New Business

    • Tax

    Yes
    Charge Type Sub Category Used to indicate the subcategory to which the charge type belongs. No
    Tip: Alternatively, you can access this screen by clicking the Edit button in the Charge Type zone.
  4. Modify the required details in the Charge Type screen.
  5. Define, edit, or remove characteristics of the charge type, if required.
  6. Click Save.
    The changes made to the charge type are saved.
