Original, Proposed, and Standard Simulation Data

Until now, you were able to view the original and proposed simulation data in the Deal Information and Pricing and Commitments screens. Now, a new field named Compare Type is available in the following sections:

  • The Customer Hierarchy section of the Deal Information screen

  • The Pricing and Commitments section of the Pricing and Commitments screen

It is used to indicate the simulation data that you want to view in the respective section. If the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes in the respective deal type, the valid values are:

  • All - Used when you want to view the simulation data which is calculated using the original, proposed, and standard pricing.

  • Proposed - Used when you want to view the simulation data which is calculated using the proposed pricing.

  • Proposed and Original - Used when you want to view the simulation data which is calculated using the original and proposed pricing.

  • Proposed and Standard - Used when you want to view the simulation data which is calculated using the proposed and standard pricing.

However, if the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to No in the respective deal type, the valid values are:

  • Proposed - Used when you want to view the simulation data which is calculated using the proposed pricing.

  • Proposed and Original - Used when you want to view the simulation data which is calculated using the original and proposed pricing.

While loading the data in the Deal Information and Pricing and Commitments screens, the system refers the Default Simulation Data field in the respective deal type. It is used to indicate the simulation data that should appear, by default, on loading the Deal Information and Pricing and Commitments screens. You can specify either of the following options in the Default Simulation Data field:

  • All

  • Proposed

  • Proposed and Original

  • Proposed and Standard

Note that the Default Simulation Data field appears only when the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to Yes. If the Standard Pricing Comparison field is set to No, the system, by default, sets the default simulation data to Proposed and Original. While viewing the customer hierarchy or pricing and commitments of a deal, you can anytime change the option from the Compare Type list and view the simulation data of your choice.
