Customers who have ATG Merchandising and ATG Search can use the Base Search Configuration view to display a list of base search configuration. A base search configuration is a group of settings that can act as a template of settings used by search configurations. To access this view, select Base Search Configurations from the Show dropdown list in the Browse tab.
Base Search Configuration view lists the existing base search configurations. Clicking one displays its settings in the Details pane. In the Base Search Configuration view, you can create, modify, and delete base search configurations.
