Delete assets when you are certain you won’t use them in the future and deleting them won’t produce difficulties in your application.
Note on Deleting Promotions: Because promotions are attached to other Repository items, such as profiles, other promotions, and coupons, deleting a promotion could cause your Web site to process an order in a way you don’t expect. You can’t delete promotions, but you can disable them. See Deactivating Promotions for instructions.
To delete assets:
Locate the assets you want to delete using the Search tab, or Catalog Orphans view, Media view, Price Lists views, Coupons view, or Promotions view of the Browse tab. See Locating Assets for instructions.
Click the checkbox beside each asset you want to delete.
Click Delete.
When prompted for confirmation, click OK.
