The segments need to be set up before they can be added to the Self Service site. Refer to the ATG Business Control Center Administration and Development Guide for information on creating User Segments.
The Site Management page lets you define the set of user segments for whom you want to customize the Self Service user interface. For each segment, you can provide a different look and feel so that the site looks completely different to them and provides only the relevant content.
