The ShoppingCart UI components use the cart-services JavaScript module to invoke REST services and communicate with the server through XHR requests. Specifically, cart-services enables order summary retrieval, adding items to the cart, and removing items from the cart. The cart-services JavaScript module is found in CommerceAccelerator/Plugins/ShoppingCart/src/main/web-app.
