The LAN to Gateway Access partner allows you to limit the local machines on a Corente Virtual Services Gateway's LAN that are allowed to access the Location gateway's IP address for such services as monitoring via SNMP or using Corente Gateway Viewer. When this partner is selected, Tubes can be defined for this connection.
When the Tubes button is selected, the only available Remote User Group in the pull-down menu is Location LAN Address. You can create tubes for any of your Local User Groups/Applications and enable an optional Firewall Policy to limit each User Group or application's access to this address. You can restrict all access or limit access to only certain protocols.
To monitor the Location gateway with SNMP, the Firewall Policy that you choose must allow the SNMP Firewall Service both inbound and outbound.
To provide access to Gateway Viewer, the Firewall Policy must allow the gateway_viewer Firewall Service both inbound and outbound over the connection.
