After you map source record properties to Endeca properties, you configure dimensions and dimension values to create structures through which shoppers can access the Guided Search records that result from the mapping.

These structures can be either hierarchical dimensions or automatically generated flat dimensions. The type of structure that you will want to create depends on the nature of your product data and how you want shoppers to access it, as explained below.
